1. What Tend Is

Tend is a mobile golf scorecard app that lets you record your scores by voice, track stats over time, and review your performance history. It is available on iPhone via the Apple App Store.

These Terms govern your use of Tend. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

2. Account Requirements

You must be 13 or older to use Tend. Account creation uses Sign in with Apple — you do not create a password with us. You are responsible for keeping access to your Apple ID secure.

3. Subscription and Billing

Tend Pro is available as a monthly or annual subscription purchased through the Apple App Store.

Pricing: As shown on the paywall screen at time of purchase (currently $7.99/month or $49.99/year).
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, and again within 24 hours prior to each renewal date.
Free trials (if offered): Any introductory free trial period will be stated at purchase. After the trial, billing begins at the standard price.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through App Store Settings → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer partial refunds for unused time.

5. Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be directed to Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not control Apple's refund decisions.

6. Your Content

Golf scores, round data, and other content you enter are yours. We store them on your behalf so you can access them across devices. We do not claim ownership of your data, share it with third parties for commercial purposes, or use it to train AI models.

You grant us a limited license to store and display your content to operate the service.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app.
Use the app for any purpose that violates applicable law.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or our backend systems.
Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities rather than reporting them to hello@tend.golf.

8. Accuracy Disclaimer

Tend records the scores you enter — it does not independently verify them. We are not affiliated with the USGA, PGA Tour, R&A, or any governing body of golf. Handicap calculations (if any) are for personal reference only and should not be submitted to official handicap systems without independent verification.

9. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, push updates, or temporarily suspend access with or without notice. We are not liable for losses caused by downtime.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or as required by law. You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account in the app.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tend and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Minnesota.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes within the app. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
